SCHLOSS TEGAL
„Psychogenic Music from Neoterrik Research“
Existing in a world of insensibilities for those who are eradicable. A fine art to survive as true homo-centrics. The bio-electric energy streams are the psychic core and mark the present possibilities yet to evolve. Alchemical processes, synthesis, purification, electronic psycho-acoustics in a shroud of mystery. „Nothing is sacred anymore“ A slow decay on this terminal beach. The paradigm is already set and waits for us to assist in the mystery of its making, of its transmutation, from potentiality to actuality.
BAD SECTOR
Bad sector is a musical project created by Massimo Magrini (Italy). Graduated in Computer Science, he studied academic electronic music and works as a researcher in the Italian National Research Council (CNR). His research topics include digital signal processing and gestural devices for man machine interaction. He teaches Interaction Design at the Academy of Arts in Pisa. As Bad Sector, since 1994, he has been releasing many CDs, vinyls, tapes, always having good response in the international underground scenes. His first album, Ampos, is generally referred as reference in the dark ambient scene. He usually presents his music in audio-visual performances, often using special controllers. Besides Bad Sector, in 2001 Magrini formed the project Olhon, together with the Where leading member Zairo, exploring the territories between dark ambient and field recordings, using only sounds recorded in extreme locations (caves, underwater etc.) as source material.
COH
Ivan Pavlov / COH [b. 1968] is a sound artist and musician based in Stockholm, Sweden. From classical piano lessons at a Soviet music school as a child, through to his teenage fascination with electric guitars and distortion pedals, Pavlov’s current interest in bridging the gap between the science of sound and music as an art form was shaped by studies in acoustics, theoretical physics and mathematics.
COH records explore the borders of contemporary music with releases on labels such as Raster-Noton, Mego, Eskaton and Staalplaat. Over the years Ivan had worked with a number of artists and performers, including Richard Chartier [in a CHESSMACHINE project], Peter Christopherson [as SOISONG], Telco Systems [as TELCOH], John Balance, Cosey Fanni Tutti, Annie Anxiety Bandez and Ann Demeulemeester, among others. The primary focus of these collaborations, and of Ivan’s own work, has always been to find and enhance the qualities of sound – be that instrument, voice or a computer generated waveform – responsible for creating resonances in listener’s perception of both music itself and surrounding reality.
HERBST
Richard “Richie” Herbst (born 1976) is an austrian sound activist and based in Graz, often credited simply as Herbst. He uses Analog Modular Synthesizer and Effects. Beside his solo performances, Herbst is part of FS Massaker and the Regolith band. He was involved in collaborations with ZS (us), Tumido, Armin Steiner (of Thilges3), Didi Neidhart (as The Pooka Boys), Robert Lepenik, Gigi Gratt, Miodrag Gladovic, Markus Decker, Angelica Castelló and he is part of the GIS Orchester (Schl8hof Wels) also in special collaborations with STIO, Christof Kurzmann, Elisabeth Harnik & Fred Frith.
Herbst is cofounder of the label Interstellar Records. Since 2003 he is running the radio show „Final Transmission Radio Show“ on austrian community Radio Helsinki / Graz. Contribute articles and reviews for the „Freistil Magazin“.
Richie Herbst is part of the klingt.org-collective and releasing in the diy way or on Labels like Epileptic Media, Rock Is Hell, A-Lo Records and Interstellar Records
INSTITUTION D.O.L. (AUT)
After exactly 20 years, Austria´s one and only active Power Electronics act INSTITUTION D.O.L. returns to the place where its debut concert was held in 1999.
INSTITUTION D.O.L. was founded in 1998 by Barbie B., who sees and describes the work and music as Industrial Music, as an ultimate soundtrack for visualising all aspects of life.
And this can be very much, from quiet ambient tracks to rolling and rhythmic heavy patterns to harsh sounds.
You can expect a special set for the GAME OF DRONES festival.
Barbie B. and his partner Meta Dolor also will present their coming record „Our Love Can Destroy This Whole Fucking World“ (TORM Ent.).
This is going to be an intense evening! Promised!
